Course Objectives

Upon Completion of this course the participant will be able to understand and apply his Instrumentation knowledge during preparation of engineering deliverables for the project.

Description

This is an introductory course, which aims to build a good understanding about the basics of Instrumentation Design and Detailed Engineering while working on various projects. The course covers role of Instrument Engineer, Designer and Draftsman.

  • P&ID, Piping Specifications, Motor Control Philosophy and other input documents.
  • Instrument List
  • Specification and Data Sheet
  • Control System Input / Output List
  • Cause and Effect Diagram

    • 2B – Suitable for Instrumentation Diploma Student

  • Hook-up diagrams,
  • Loop Diagrams
  • Installation Sketches, accessories and fittings.
  • Location Layout
  • Tray and Cable Routing Layout
  • Cable Schedule
  • Instrument Bill of Material
