To achieve the objective of ‘Automation of Rallis Plant 1’ at Dahej and to deliver the expected scope of services, Suchi Engineers followed the following approach:
- Visited site and held discussions with plant personnel to study and understand the extent of automation applications.
- Based on the information collected, understood that the DCS is used only for safety interlocks. The complete batch process is manual & there is scope to utilize the DCS for batch operation, reporting, trending etc.
- Subsequently identified and prepared the scope of Engineering, DCS add-on requirements, execution plan, preliminary Bill of Material including site contractor’s erection & commissioning scope of work.
- Prepared project estimate based on the data base available and various budgetary quotes.
- Identified phases for executing the project in consultation with clients for smooth transfer of operation from manual to automated operations.
