Pre-bid Engineering & Estimation
- Review and understand the Instrumentation / automation requirements.
- Prepare Technical queries and follow up for clarifications
- Visit site / attend bid review meeting, as required
- Develop / Update the P&ID as necessary based on the process and plant requirement.
- Develop the minimum necessary engineering documents to establish hardware BOM.
- Co-ordinate with other disciplines for required inputs e.g. Air Consumption, Power requirement.
- Prepare Instrumentation / Automation supply & services BOM.
- Float enquiries for pricing of unique items
- Float enquiries for the tender site
- Provide an estimated price for the complete scope to the bidder
Project Planning, Valuation & Budgeting
- Understanding the customer’s process, list of equipment, plant layout etc.
- Understanding the key expectations of the customer from automation/upgrade
- Prepare a preliminary P&ID based on the discussions
- Prepare a preliminary BOM with the above information.
- Estimate the Instrumentation / Automation cost of the project
- Project the benefits of Automation as valuation/customer’s return on investments
- Estimate the project schedule
Erection & Commissioning manpower assistance
If requested, assist the customer by providing project manpower such as -
- Project / Construction Manager
- Site Engineer
- Site Supervisor
- Technician
- Fitters
- Welders
